What is an affidavit?
This legal form, the affidavit, is essentially a sworn statement in writing. The statement is typically sworn to in the presence of a notary public. This affidavit is very easy to fill out. The affiant (the person swearing to the affidavit) must simply write out his sworn statement and have it signed by the notary public.
